Metamorphosis Membership

Metamorphosis Membership

Join me for exploring the ongoing change, growth, discomfort and possibilities of the mid-life transition called peri-menopause, menopause, and the time after.

This membership is focused on honoring the body, using resources to support our nervous system through this change, and sharing our learning with one another.

Why Metamorphosis?

Metamorphosis = radical change.
The mid-life change where the egg release process closes up shop comes with a cascade of hormonal changes. These can feel gradual, abrupt, and random. Hormones relate to more processes than we realize affecting our senses, sleep, temperature, bones, immune response, digestion and more. Beyond hard to predict and sometimes intense biological changes to entire organs, this transition can bring new challenges emotionally.
This process is often equated in U.S. society with a falling away of juicy-ness, of thriving, of sexiness, and possibly even relevance. This membership is about turning that premise on its head, and supporting each other while we take care of our own bodies.
Metamorphosis = a need for radical support.
What if we worked with this inevitable shift as we support our bodies through the challenges?
What if, just like the intense hormonal restructuring of a butterfly is a process of re-forming a new life stage, this discomfort prepares us for our next phases?
And what if we could reveal the body’s intelligence, even as it does things we don’t expect?
Our society trains our systems to avoid change, avoid discomfort and brace against pain. Emotional resources are there to support us in feeling what’s arising – and if we don’t know they’re there we can’t use them effectively.

Who is this fit for?

You want to honor your body, and this process

I’m going to refer to your body as a temple, a home, and a brilliant genius. There is time in each call to create a ritual or ceremony for supporting your process. If any of that bothers you, this is not a good fit.

You’re in, or heading toward, the mid-life hormone transition

You have, or used to have, ovaries. Regardless of gender identity, if you are experiencing a mid-life hormonal shift that isn’t one you consciously chose, this is what we’re focused on.

You like to connect, learn with, and share with others

You appreciate and are willing to contribute to a co-created space. We commit to give and receive witnessing. If the idea of sharing anything about your process feels beyond where you are at the moment, focus on you now and come back when you feel ready.

This may not be a fit if:

You have absolutes about what people do with their bodies

Every body is unique, and their experience with hormonal shifts will be as well. Body or choice shaming is not part of this program. If you are a fundamentalist of any type, this is not a good membership for you.

You expect to be able to control how you feel

Perimenopause, menopause, and after brings a bevy of changes. Most of these are hormonal and outside of any conscious control. While we can support the body…there’s no stopping aging.

You want to process trauma or get exclusive 1:1 coaching

This course isn’t about processing trauma and the emotional capacity invitations I share will be for the whole group. I recommend working with a therapist or another health professional for trauma processing. If you are facing dire events, I recommend calling an emergency hotline.

Q & A

How many people will be in the group? I will run it if we have at least six. I will cap the group at 24. I can’t predict how many will show to each call – estimate a little less than or more than 12.
Will we go over symptoms and treatments for perimenopause and menopause? Guest speakers may bring these up, however this isn’t a membership to give medical or health advice. The resources sections will have a few links for topics like that.
What happens between the monthly calls? Engagement with materials on the Circles platform, with one another, or any invited explorations is optional.
Why are there two call times? To provide some flexibility based on people’s commitments and time zones. I will evaluate in this beta test if it makes sense to keep the day the same or to in the future offer different days.
What if something changes and I can’t make the membership calls? If you determine this isn’t a good fit, you can let me know within the first two weeks, you can withdraw and I’ll give you your money back if it’s within the first month.
What if I pay and forget to register? The payment and the registration survey hold your spot. Once we get to 24 people I’ll start a waitlist with the survey responses and stop accepting payments. If you pay and don’t register I’ll send you your money back.
